This takes into account, from the contract phase up to the service time, various aspects of the electronics in order to guarantee The electrical interconnection The mechanical integrity The whithstanding to the environments (thermal, physical, chemical, radiation Its application range starts after the components themselves, includes hybrids, going up to the whole equipment level The job includes Assessing and defending EADS position High variety of subjects (chemistry, vacuum, processes, quality, optics, electronics) in all countries involved in these projects Qualification definition Qualification acceptance Subcontractor acceptance for technology aspects Subcontractor audit Member of the ACA: anomaly causes analysis (components, technology or general electronics), of the CECE: expertise commmittee on electronics components Conducting the technical inspections for which a good observation sense, associated with creativity, allows me to raise the Non Conformities and Alerts Lot of travel  1999-2002 : project manager (« ingénieur de marque ») In the frame of Ariane 5, I had to manage the development of new equipments used for gathering and transmitting datas from functional and telemetry sensors In a very tight schedule environment, the job has the responsibility to : Manage the subcontractor as well as the internal related tasks Synthesize these jobs and prepare the "company decisions" Master the technical and the economic progress Report and keep informed This job includes : to be the central point of the company for all contact with the subcontractor, to fix the objectives on technics, economics and calendar the setting up of the specifications, the evaluation of the bidders, the setting up of the contracts, the guarantee of the quality of the development, the products, the delays, the costs. I have the same job for the development of a safety destruction device for a military system. I am also responsible for the current production of the telemetry and functional data acquisition. Technology & components team. (1993-1998) electronic components expert in charge of various advanced studies FPGA applications: I introduced a concept (hardware + software) to help the perenniality in procurement (and function) of rad hardened components, and to limit the bottleneck of the rad hardened ASICs . I made the industrial foundry agreements and setup to circumvent the Actel de facto monopoly. A customer funded also my searches of exotic foundry opportunities. Power components: I was part of the feasibility team of launcher electric power actuators. I initiated and lead (on the french side) an european research project (Brite Euram) with different european major companies which help us to: save our client interest, to give us rad hardened power components on our specification and design, and to help a major manufacturer to solve his radiation problems. I also followed the development of the power actuators temselves. Use of standard components or boards. Studies on the use of commercial boards for ground or flight equipments and studies for defining a board procurement policy. I checked the conformance of the specifications of a custom terminal function to the MIL-STD-1553 standard and the suitability of the use of a standard commercial product to this terminal. Components and assembly technologies policy: Expertises and audits managing on semiconductors and assembly in France, Denmark, Norway and Russia. Follow-up the development of equipments by european equipments manufacturers: conduction of audits, surveying qualifications (I had to take responsibility to reject the qualification of fine pitch SMD assembly line of a major manufacturer, despite the tight development schedule) Crisis cell interventions. Risk evaluation on the destruction receiver of Ariane 5 launcher one week before launch. Telemetry data acquisition choices in Russia one week before first Soyouz/Globalstar launch. Globalstar satellites power supply from the launcher/upper stages. Participation to the components assembly politics for future programs. Synthesis on protons risk and corrective system & component actions in the Ariane 5 and ESL (European Small Launcher project, which became Vega Project) launchers studies. Participant in conferences on reliability and quality (ESREF, where presentations I made in German led to a Brite Euram project). Participant on seminars on world semiconductor market (STATUS), on congress on the opening to the West of russian electronics. Contacts with russian components manufacturers and with equipment developpers (RSC Energia, SRIPC, Mikron, Angstrem, ?) Editor of a monthly synthetic publication from public informations gathered on topics of the company expertise.
