PCM  - Internal Communication Fault
The PCM has diagnostic features that monitor communications between the engine control
module and transaxle control module within the PCM. When messages are not properly
transmitted between the two, DTC 82 will be set.

 
Diagnostic Trouble Code parameters:

DTC 82 will set if:

  • A certain number of incorrect messages have been sent between the engine
    control module and transaxle control module with in the PCM.

Diagnostic Aids:

  • Clear the DTC and recalibrate the PCM.
  • Cycle the ignition. If DTC 82 resets, replace the PCM.
