Pre-Flight:

When enabled, it will block most of the secret startup keys including,

When active, you will see the image BELOW, when you BOOT by holding down the OPTION key (ALT) key on power up.

Image on the newer INTEL based computers.
Image on the newer INTEL based computers.

Image on the older PPC based computers.
Image on the older PPC based computers.

NOTE: The image above can NOT be seen on an external LAPTOP monitor.

Warning:
The password can be broken by any one of the following:

  1. By any Admin user.
  2. Physical access to the inside (replace the LOGIC board) of the computer.
  3. When the computer is started up in Mac OS 9.
  4. When the amount of RAM is changed and the PRAM is reset three times.
