uses the "Voice Over Internet Protocol" (VoIP),
to let you make ALMOST FREE "phone" calls via the internet.
I see on the net that a lot of people have a problems un-installing the
MagicJack on a windoz box.
Well, the Apple Mac version does NOT seem to have this problem.
All it does is make TWO folders, one called ~/.magicJack in the users home directory,
and the second folder ~/Library/Preferences/magicJack/ in the users prefs directory.
To un-install just remove the MacicJack USB device from your computer,
and erase the two folders rm -R ~/.magicJack/ ~/Library/Preferences/magicJack/
It does NOT seem to install any background processes.
Contary to popular belief, you do NOT need to open any ports on your external firewall !
