MagicJack Detailed Summary

Tested version: 1.70.461c
Intel ONLY, no PPC support

Please read the MagicJack Executive Summary first.

If you goto this DOT folder, cd ~/.magicJack/ you will see it has only a few items in it.
/ISA/ folder has:
upgrade
upgrade.conf

and

/Softphone/ folder has:
magicJack.app (this is the actual application that runs when you use it)
splash.app (silly StartUp Splach screen)

The only files I find interesting are:
  1. more ~/.magicJack/Softphone/magicJack.app/Contents/Resources/config
    which contains,
    SJPHONE_CONFIG_PATH=${HOME}/Library/Preferences/magicJack

    And if you do a
    strings ~/Library/Preferences/magicJack/Options.ini | more
    strings ~/Library/Preferences/magicJack/UpdateDownload/update2 | more
    I found nothing of great interest.

  2. more ~/.magicJack/Softphone/magicJack.app/Contents/Info.plist (magicJack version).

  3. more ~/.magicJack/ISA/upgrade.conf (MD5 hash for binary ~/.magicJack/ISA/upgrade app).
