Executive Summary:

I see a lot of confusion on the net on how to make your
LOCK screen DIFFERENT then your WALLPAPER screen
on a JailBroken iPod or iPhone.

But first, you install "WinterBoard" a theme MANAGER via ICY, Cydia or Rock.

• Then enable the TWO items, User Wallpaper and User Lock Background.
• It is VERY important to have them in the order as shown below,
  as it is a "first come first serve" deal with WinterBoard...
  - I also use "Transparent Dock", but it is not required for this trick.

Some Theme's are good, and some are very bad, and some can hose your device.
- I know you will be tempted to install more, but for now, please ONLY install WinterBoard Theme's.

Now ssh to your iPod and do:

ls -asl "/Library/Themes/User Wallpaper.theme"
ls -asl "/Library/Themes/User Lock Background.theme"

Notice that BOTH point to the SAME silly image, /var/mobile/Library/LockBackground.jpg !!!

All you have to do is goto BOTH directories and change the SOFTLINK
to whatever .jpg image you want for your LOCK-paper and WALL-paper

• I suggest you set the "User Lock Background" to your business card.
  - And set "User Wallpaper" to a cute baby picture of Damien or a nice sunset picture.
